LigoWave’s DLB 5-90 delivers the highest performance and stability available in the 5 GHz Bast Station class.
This product combines a highly advanced radio core containing MIMO 2x2 technology with an integrated, high-gain, dual
polarization directional antenna.
The feature-rich operating system is optimized for ultra-high performance wireless communications while optionally allowing compatibility with older 802.11 a standard devices.
The smart dynamic polling based protocol (iPoll 2) ensures reliable communication even in congested areas with 64
client devices connected to a base-station.
Equipped with LigoWave’s dual firmware image feature, remote software upgrades are assured even if a power failure
interrupts the process.
The device will restart using the prior firmware in the event of an upgrade failure.
The enclosure is made of polycarbonate plastic with UV inhibitors to provide years of outdoor exposure in direct sunlight
without cracking.
The DLB 5-90 was designed and tested to meet an IP-65 rating as well as vibration, temperature, drop,
salt, fog, and electrical surge standards to ensure a high level of reliability unsurpassed in the industry.
It is equipped with a grounding lug and a grounded 24-volt PoE to allow a professional installation, resistant to electrical surges. The mounting bracket permits installation on a wall or a pole and provides up to 30 degrees of down-tilt adjustment.
Powerful new generation CPU ensures better performance delivering higher up to 170 Mbps capacity and almost 2 X higher packet per second rate (80000). Narrow (5 and 10 MHz) channel support ensures steady performance in noisy environments. More RAM improves the performance with multiple users connected to a single base-station and larger flash stores a 2nd failover firmware image.
3 kV line to ground and 1 kV line-to-line protection allows operating in a harsh weather conditions and unstable electrical installations.
New operating system includes all the essential features for point-to-multipoint networks. User interface is built using HTML 5 technology with responsive design. Among the new features there are IPv6 bridge and router support, SSDP and Bonjour device discovery options, flexible traffic shaping and SSTP client. New generation DLB devices are backwards compatible with APC series from Deliberant even when using iPoll protocol. In order to achieve this a new firmware image has to be installed on all APC devices (v7.0 or later).
iPoll 2 uses a centralized control scheme, where the base station polls every subscriber station (CPE) and ensures smooth packet transmission for voice, video and data. The polling method is smart: stations having data are polled more often versus idle ones.
Starting from v7.52 Infinity firmware image can be used on a LigoDLB series devices for the outdoor hotspot and other related applications. After the firmware upgrade DLB devices are converted into access points for outdoor hotspot networks and will lose the functionality of point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connectivity.
